Adventure Lodge Activity Rates

There are a wide range of eco-activities to choose from at Echo Valley Ranch & Spa wilderness adventure lodge. The Experience Package includes many of the activities below, while the Ranch Package allows you to add your activities a la carte. Both vacation packages include luxury accommodations at our wilderness adventure lodge.

HORSEBACK RIDING

Guided Horseback Ride
Every morning and afternoon explore the many different trails around our adventure lodge, across varied terrain including open country and beneath forested canopies.
Price: $85 per person
Duration: 2 hours
Guided All-Day Horseback Ride
Twice a week, this ride-the-range excursion is the next best thing to being a cowboy, with a picnic lunch in your saddle bag and vistas ranging from forested trails to open country overlooking a spectacular canyon close to our adventure lodge.
Price: $190 per person
Duration: 5 hours
Minimum: 4 riders
Horseback Riding Lesson
Located in our luxury lodge's 200ft x 100ft outdoor riding arena. Safety oriented lessons for beginners; Western style. One to two hour, lessons are recommended.
Price: $50 per hour
Duration: 1 to 2 hours

HIKING

Self-Guided Hiking
Our luxury lodge offers six marked nature trails along with a one-hour circle ranch walk offering hours of self-guided hiking. Trail maps are provided for self-guided hikes and walks.
Guided Hikes
Choose among different hikes to energize the beginner and challenge the experienced hiker all located in close proximity to the adventure lodge.
Mount Bowman Hike
Ascending Mount Bowman - a climb of approximately 7,460 feet. Mt. Bowman, in the Marble Range, dominates Echo Valley vistas. This hike offers wooded valley bottoms with wildflowers, rolling alpine, folded limestone ridges and castellated peaks.
Price: $95 per person
Duration: 5 to 6 hours including lunch
Marshlands Hike
Crossing through lake country with all its creeks and waterways that are often filled with spawning fish (spring), Marsh Wrens, Yellow Headed Blackbirds, Sandhill Cranes and assorted ducks.
Price: $55 per person
Duration: 2 hours
Reinhardt Hike
This hike takes you through wooded trails, overseeing vistas and past the remains of the Rhinhardt Shipping Company.
Price: $55 per person
Duration: 3 hours
Grassland Hike (September only)
Hiking through beautiful stands of Aspen and fir, through rolling cattle pastures and up to Gang Ranch, one of British Columbia's first cattle ranches dating back to the 1860's and was once the world's largest ranch at one million acres.
Price: $95 per person
Duration: 4 to 5 hours including lunch

FISHING

Fly-fishing for rainbow trout is available in the ranch's well-stocked ponds as well as in the region's numerous lakes and streams. All fishing equipment is included .
Fly-Fishing Lessons
Learn fly casting techniques to prepare you for a fly fishing outing. Lessons start on dry land, where beginners and those who want to brush up on their skills practise casting techniques and line control. Then, it's down to the ponds for some real fishing. Tackle Provided.
Price: $18 per person

Nearby lakes teeming with rainbow trout attract fishers from all levels. Please contact our sales office for rates and details.

4X4 EXCURSIONS

Fraser Canyon Safari
Through the Fraser River Canyon to the High Bar Aboriginal Homeland Cougar Point Lookout. An amazing opportunity to view the spectacular Fraser Canyon desert ecosystem along with cultural features such as Chinese mining history, aboriginal settlement and ranching.
Price: $110 per person
Duration: 3 hours
Minimum: 3 people
Gold Panning Excursion
Along the shores of the Fraser River where prospectors once followed the Cariboo gold trail. The river still contains gold, so try your luck. Gold panning lessons and a riverside picnic lunch provided. This trip includes a 4 x 4 safari.

Duration: 5 hours
Minimum: 3 people

WHITE-WATER RAFTING

Thompson River rafting trips feature big waves, warm water and a desert-like climate. Known as some of the best white water rafting trips in Canada. Contact us for details.

GOLF EXCURSIONS

Let our staff set up a day excursion to a nearby golf course, such as the world-class Tobiano, rated as the highest ranking public course in British Columbia, the 6th highest ranking public course in Canada and ranked 16th in Canada with SCOREGolf's Top 100.

NOTES:

  • Horseback Riding operates daily. All other activities operate on a weekly schedule. Please check with us for a schedule of activities. To guarantee optional activities it is recommended that you book in advance of your arrival at the Ranch.
  • The maximum weight for riding is 220 lbs. (100 kg), or at the wrangler's discretion.
  • For fishing excursions off the ranch, a freshwater fishing license is required. You may purchase a fishing license online at www.fishing.gov.bc.ca.
  • Activities are subject to weather
