Package Content

The Echo Valley " Freedom on Horseback" package includes:

  • One-hour safety-oriented horseback riding lessons in our full size outdoor riding arena OR, one, two-hour guided ride per day (morning or afternoon)
  • One daytime up to 60-minute spa treatment per day can be taken in lieu of a morning or afternoon ride
  • Accommodation in Dove Lodge or Lookout Lodge. Cabins are available at a small additional charge. All accommodations are rated 4.5-stars by Canada Select Properties
  • All meals prepared by our Master Chef in an open kitchen, with a gourmet focus on good nutrition and tasty, healthy food. Special diets are accommodated. The ranch is licensed to serve a variety of local and imported beers and wine
  • Use of ranch facilities: Large outdoor hot tub, sauna, indoor heated swimming pool, fitness center, large games room with pool table, shuffleboard, darts and board games, Karaoke and large screen (62 inch) video/satellite TV
  • Ruesri dat ton lessons (Yoga): An easy-to-learn, gentle Thai stretching class, based on ancient Thai practices and new in North America. Lessons offered every morning; suitable for all age groups and abilities
  • Cooking and nutrition tips: Master Chef Kim Madsen is available throughout the day with useful advice concerning cooking, special diets and nutrition
  • Ranch around: Help with the ranch animals (collect eggs, feed the horses); enjoy roping and horse training demonstrations; practise 'horse shoes' and challenge the champs
  • Wireless Internet access
  • Unguided walks/hikes are numerous and range from easy nature trails to difficult walks as well as three-hour mapped hikes
  • Planned evening entertainment includes Thai Night (Thursday) featuring authentic Thai food and traditional Thai dancing. Also, during June, July, August and September, it is BBQ night on Tuesday and Friday
  • Falcons in flight: Watch our falcons being trained.
A La Carte Optional Activities
Al la carte, optional activities include:
  • Horseback riding lessons: $50/hour

    In our 200ft x 100ft outdoor riding arena. Safety oriented lessons for beginners; Western style. (One to two hour, lessons are recommended)

  • Guided horseback rides: $85

    Every morning and afternoon (approx. two hours) exploring the many different trails around the ranch, across varied terrain including open country and beneath forested canopies.

  • Guided all-day horseback ride: $190

    Twice a week, this ride-the-range excursion is the next best thing to being a cowboy, with a picnic lunch in your saddle bag and vistas ranging from forested trails to open country overlooking a spectacular canyon. (Minimum 4 riders required).

  • Guided hikes: $72/hike

    Choose among three different hikes to energize the beginner and challenge the experienced hiker. Hikes include ascending Mount Bowman, descending into the Fraser Canyon and traversing the grassy Marshlands.

  • 4 x 4 safari: $110

    Through the Fraser River Canyon to the High Bar Aboriginal Homeland Cougar Point Lookout. An amazing opportunity to view wildlife and capture them with your camera. A minimum of three participants required.

  • Gold panning trip: $160

    Along the shores of the Fraser River where prospectors once followed the Cariboo gold trail. The river still contains gold, so try your luck. Gold panning lessons and a riverside picnic lunch provided. This trip includes a 4 x 4 safari. A minimum of three participants required.

  • Bird watching safari: $90

    With our resident falconer Brian Davies who has the inside track on the region's many species of birds, their diverse habitats and nesting areas. A minimum of three participants required.

  • Fly Fishing lessons:
    • Learn fly casting techniques to prepare you for a fly fishing outing.
    • Tackle Provided. (1 hour): $18
    • Fly Fishing Excursions: $85

      NOTE: For Fishing excursions off the ranch, a freshwater fishing licence is required. The steps to acquire a B.C. freshwater fishing licence, which is required for residents and non-residents, are as follows. (Children under 16 years are exempt:)

    • Go to: www.fishing.gov.bc.ca
    • Under Freshwater Fishing Licence for B.C., click on new angler registration. The instructions will direct applicants through the process, taking credit card payment and produce the licence, which must be printed and in possession when fishing. Only the "basic licence" is required for most freshwater fishing.

  1. All prices are in Canadian funds
  2. Prices are based on double occupancy. For single occupancy add $50 per night to base price
  3. Add $50 per night for use of the Cabins and $75 per night for Ranch House. Add $260 per night to package price for the use of the Baan Thai Suite
  4. Connections options from Vancouver to Echo Valley Ranch include charter flights direct to the ranch; scheduled connector flights to Kamloops with transfers from Kamloops to the ranch; chauffeur driven limousine from Vancouver; and self drive. Please ask reservations for details
  5. To guarantee optional activities that you may choose, especially spa treatments, it is recommended that you book in advance of your arrival at the ranch. You may do so with our reservations personnel or email us at: info@evranch.com
  6. Some outdoor activities are subject to weather
  7. The 10% service charge is paid as a gratuity to our staff. It is intentionally less than would be charged by other facilities so that you have the option to pay more
