What are the rates?All of our rates are published throughout this website.Are rates all-inclusive?Yes. Please look under "Package Options" for contentAre there off-season rates?Yes. We have Summer, Winter, Spring and Fall rates.Besides Federal and Provincial taxes, what do your rates not include? What is the tipping policy?Please look under "Package Options" for content . We add a 10% service charge to the final invoice. The service charge is distributed between all of the ranch spa staff (excluding Norm and Nan ) Any additional gratuities paid are at the discretion of the guest.Is this a child-orientated guest ranch?The ranch spa is adult orientated. Children over the age of 13 years are welcome. However children of all ages are welcome for times when a group "Book the Ranch" such as for a Family Reunion or during the special "Kids Weeks" held every summer.
Are riding lessons available?We have an outdoor arena that our guest can use and be shown the basics of how to ride. Our lessons are given primarily for safety reasons. We do not claim to be able to make "Experts" out of "Novices" – unless you intend to stay with us for quite awhile . We will give you confidence and focus on keeping you in the saddle.What kind of riding program does the ranch have?We have morning, afternoon and all day rides.Is it open meadow riding, or head-to-tail mountain-trail riding?Our guest ranch is located in an area that has very diverse geography, a continuum of four distinct biomes. As such we offer rides through various terrains including through the forest, in alpine meadows, and across steep and level ground.Is the program best suited for beginners, or are there opportunities for intermediate and advanced riders too?We have rides suitable for all skill levels.Do you need your own cowboy boots, or is there a boot rental program?You should bring your own boots. Cowboy boots are recommended or a smooth soled boot/shoe with a high heel. We do have a limited pairs of boots available for guest usage, please arrange ahead of timeDo you get the same horse all week?We do not encourage this but it can be arranged.Can you brush and saddle your own horse?Yes, but depending on horse sense, it may have to be under the supervision of one of our wranglers.Do the owners/managers participate in the riding program?YesHow long are typical rides?Morning and Afternoon rides are approximately 2 hours long... All day rides are from 5 to 6 hours in the saddle.If you're a medium or advanced rider, can you trot or lope?YesHow many wranglers and guests go out on rides at a time?Typically, 4 to 8 riders with 2 wranglers. We limit the total number of guest at our ranch to 30 at any one time. We ride in 2 to 3 separate groups depending on the levels of experience (we do not mix novice riders with more advanced riders).
Is there a minimum length of stay?Yes. Three night minimum in the Summer and two night minimum in the Winter unless booking is made within 30 days of arrival time.Will the ranch cater to special diets?Yes. We have a professional chef and a wide variety of foods.Will the ranch provide guest references?Yes. See Guest Comments and ask if we can give you the phone number of the author of the Guest Comment that you are interested in. We provide a complete range of exercise equipment, mountain bikes and games room.Should we buy a fishing license before we arrive?Fishing licences are now available for purchase on the InternetWhat will the weather be like?Echo Valley Ranch & Spa is located in a relatively dry environment with lots of sunshine.Can we buy sundry items at the ranch?Yes, we have a gift shopDo you provide airport, train or bus pick-up?Yes.Do you recommend rental cars?There is no need for you to have a car during your stay at the guest ranch unless you would like to explore the surrounding area by your-self.Are laundry facilities available?Yes. We will do your laundry for a nominal charge.Is liquor provided?Yes. We are a licensed to sell liquor and make beer and wine available.Are any foreign languages spoken?Yes... German, Danish, Japanese, Thai and French.Are pets allowed?Yes at a fee. Please be advised we have nine Border Collies and many other animals on the ranch.What is the altitude of the ranch?3,650 feetAre their wheelchair facilities?Yes but the area outside of the buildings are not easily navigable in all places.Is smoking permitted?No. No smoking in any of the ranch buildings
