Our guided horseback rides range from one to six hours and will take you through forests of desert pines, stands of whispering aspens, across pasturelands, mountains, meadows, and to the edge of the Fraser Canyon.

Novice horse riders can learn the basics in our full-size, outdoor riding arena before heading out for a two-hour trail ride to the Look Out.
Advanced riders can take a packed lunch and ride the range all day.

Horseback Riding Lessons
Echo Valley's 200ft x 100ft outdoor riding arena is ideal for learning how to ride, and practice horseback riding techniques. This is where we introduce safety oriented horseback riding lessons for beginners; Western style. If you're really keen, we'll even show you how to groom, saddle up and care for your horse.
Seasoned riders may want to try their hand at barrel racing. (One to two hour lessons are recommended).

Guided Horseback Rides
There are two hour (approx.) guided horseback rides scheduled every morning and afternoon. These are perfect to explore the many different trails around the ranch, across varied terrain including open country and beneath forested canopies.
Choose to ride on both occasions, or spend half a day in the saddle and the other half relaxing in our spa or enjoying another activity. Our ability to offer such a variety of things to do, in addition to horseback riding, is what makes Echo Valley a unique BC Ranch and horseback riding vacation.
Guided All Day Horseback Ride
These all day guided ride-the-range excursions are scheduled twice a week and are the next best thing to being a cowboy!
We'll pack snacks and a picnic lunch in your saddle bag and take you through a bounty of vistas from forested trails to open country overlooking a spectacular canyon. You may even come across real cowboys maneuvering cattle over a distant hill.
